For my Edge lit box I started off by tracing a Woody and Buzz light year photo from google with my pen tool in Illustrator. This was the hardest part of the process because it was very time consuming and hard to capture all of the detail from the photo to ensure that when the image came out resembling the actual photo.
Before putting my LED's in my box, I trouble shot it on a bread board to make sure that the LED's were working properly.
After testing my circuit, I started putting my box together. I started by soldering all of my LED's and resistor together and then I glued the box together. One issue I had when putting everything together was laying all of the wiring in flush because I couldn't get the top of my box to fit in properly because the wires were all over the place. to fix this problem, I reorganized the wires and then used a rubber mallet to tap the top of the box into place.
