Microcontrollers are one of the simplest computers there are. They control and direct output and input functions, these controllers call for less energy than the average processors. Microcontrollers are made up of sensors and actuators, Sensors are input circuits and actuators are output circuits that make it easier to interface with physical aspects of technology. Microcontrollers are used throughout computers because it is a simple way to translate user’s actions to computers. Contact points on microcontrollers are input and output ports to relay the inputted message to be outputted through circuits. Microcontrollers are in a way mini computers that require the same communication and power connections that the average computer needs, and there are also many types of microcontrollers. Some containing different operating system, more than one or two input, and output sources, and different types of control centers with development boards. In previous projects I used a chibitronics microcontroller to power a parallel circuit for a blackout poetry project.
