On this page we will discuss the operation and logic the shredder uses in it's operation.
To start let's look at the Power Work Control PWC configuration of the shredder

Sequential Flow of Functions
Below you will find the flow of operation for the 6-page shredding, 75-page auto feed, and Manual mode.

Shredder Modules
For the Flow of Functions in the three modules presented by the Ativa Shredder the main differences are the shredder's response to sensor or human interface inputs.
In the 6-page and 75-page modules there is a need for the shredder to verify that there is no longer any paper for the shredder to shred, while in the Manual mode the presence of paper has no bearing on it's operation.
Below you will see an SFC for the return-to-ready function run after every module to clear any left over paper in the teeth of the shredder

This DSD show the actuator shredder operation in FWD or its most used shredding mode.
This mode can be selected in a push button capacity or in an "AUTO" mode.
Note the Feed-ramp's position during these functions
This DSD shows the Shredder in it's REV function.
This function is accessed by pressing the "REV" button. This function is also used at the end of each shredding to clear the shredding teeth.
Note the Feed-Ramp does not lift during this operation.
