When it comes to machining and making things the saw operator is usually the first step in the real world creation of products. They are trained with the skills to handle a machine designed to make the largest adjustments to raw stock material in the process of creating a product.
The minimum PPE required for performing Saw Operator tasks/responsibilities
PPE- Minimum PPE for operating a saw usually consists of: Eye-Protection, Ear Protection and Gloves.

· Wear correct PPE to include eye ear and hand protection
· Keep the saw area clean and free of clutter
· Ensure the saw is working correctly and the regular maintenance is being completed
· Keep all body parts away from blade
· Secure the material to be cut properly
· Avoid distractions while operating the saw
· Understand and follow the manufacturers instruction for safe operation
· Properly storing blades
· Having knowledge of the emergency stop, it’s location and how to access it
· Checking all safety guards before use.
