Camera Holder Mount
This is a single component object that I rendered in Fusion360.
My intention for this project is to create a simple holder for my camera that could also act as a simple filming mount.
This project actually proved to be difficult to render in Fusion 360 because none of the planes are constrained to each other in parallels and many of the surfaces are not flat plains. When designing and imagining this I took a very free-form approach and designed as I was rendering. This method of designing I think is fun when developing an object but can produce objects that are funky to communicate in a drafting context.
The Print went decently and created a usable product but im not completely happy with the way some surfaces turned out. some of the layers tend to hang out and create a "squashed" layer effect. I think their are several factors that could be affecting this mostly in the 3D modeling software and the selection of filament. This I feel will take some trial and error to perfect.
The Technical Drawing had it's challenges as well. Because many of the surfaces are curved or unrestrained to each other, translating that to a technical drawing proved to be kinda difficult. I feel as though I was able to communicate the concept well enough though. Because this is a rather abstract object in it's shape as well as it's function I was comfortable with allowing for a higher tolerance threshold: +/- 0.5mm
