Below you will find a Power-Work-Control(PWC) Chart for the basic material moving system outlined previously. These Charts are also referred to as Energy-Material-Information (EMI) charts.
What is a PWC/EMI?
A PWC is a chart that shows the relation between components in a system and the communications that they have in the terms of Information, Power, and Control.
What is Power/Energy?
Power/Energy is the force that is being utilized to accomplish work.
What is Work/Material?
Work/Material is the accomplishment of the task set for a module.
What is Control/Information?
Control/Information is the communication and control component of the module indicating the work being done by a module and corresponding that to other modules within the system.
