After looking around at many expensive satnav choices, I opted out to try this fairly inexpensive unit.

The unit took a few days to arrive but it was worth the wait.

The unit apart from GPS navigation system has also many extra features.

I can play Videos, I have tested with a video recorded using DVBviewer and can verify it can play .mp4 files

Also it can handle mp3 files, I have filled an 8Gb mini SD card and it plays ok.

Another function is the ability to transmit the audio to an FM frequency (eg 94.1 fm) so you can play your audio files directly to the car audio system without any wires.

If that fails this has a headphone socket so also can use that for audio out, or use its speaker system.
