This is the current design of the God of Sleep and Dreams, and right next we got Pandemonium, one of the dream cats. (Listen to Ep6, Maybe cats can dream too) Actually, he only got two designs. He's got The final one, I've decided that this is him now, and the Sutrimuerte one which is basically dollar tree Collector from the Owl House. I feel like that should tell you enough. Seo usually dwells in the realm of Doríma, where dreams are stored. He's usually asleep or taking care of the dream cats. If he stays outside Doríma for over a month, he will start functioning like a Sleep deprived high schooler attempting to finish their homework for an AP class before they can finally go to bed. He's friendly in the way that a clingy cat is. Very friendly and welcoming, but he's still a cat. Like, he usually does what he wants, mainly listening to Devon, the Goddess of stories. (He actually sleeps over at her library often because he likes hearing her storytelling.)
(I named her Pandemonium because I had a cat named Pandemonium from 2-15 years)
This design is kinda 😬. It's not bad, but It just doesn't fit him at all. First glance at this design and he looks like a cocky guy. It was a really good base to help me go from dollar tree Collector to the current charcoal design. He looks more like a wolf man than a cat, and his facial features also say the same. (And then the first thing my friend said when I showed him this is "Why does he have tits?" So that's maybe not the best sign for a cat who requires the same ammount of muscle as a middle schooler who opted out of phys ed.)
But my art style a bit odd here too, so I don't wanna bully my past self, and Seo V2 pointed out things I had to fix in my drawings, and now my drawings are better :D but looking through this old sketchbook, looking for the designs, I got to see drawings by 9th grade Freshman Fabi. Actually, my chain of reactions to finding things that I drew a couple years ago was 😆😄😅😀😒🤨😦😧😨 (I know most artists feel this when they look through old sketchooks and find old drawings)
BEHOLD, the clothes that do not look fun to sleep in, the dusterbush wolf tail, and baggy pants. He still has them but I feel like they help complete the "Middle school Fabi" vibe.
His shoulders don't feel like they're shouldering here, like it's drawn at a very odd angle. His arms are disproportinate to his body, his legs are a bit too short while his torso looks like a rectangle. You can tell that in the second design I played around with shapes a bit more. Shapes are fun you guys.
This design also doesn't really match his whole "cat that sleeps" thing, and I can't tell if that's a corset or a vest, either way it looks uncomfortable to sleep in.
This one also has the same problem as the second design. It doesn't look like him. These cards were an attempt for me to make a deck of cards for all of my characters, so I changed up the designs a bit and this was before I finished the second design but building off the first one. With the ears and eyes and moon behind him, he looks more like a wolf guy. Actually, the same friend who asked "Why does he have tits?" was the one that said he looks like a wolf man. He also asked why this one has tits aswell.
And from the same notebook, we have yet another drawing of Pandemonium. This one feels a lot more like some kind of Omori refference. She also looks very... vertical. But she also feels more suited to be that big nightmare cat. Might change it later.
