This is Goh, I might have to redraw him because the eyes are bothering me a bit. However, most everything is fine, it matches him, and he was actually the first charcoal drawing for the final designs of Sutrimer, he and Pandemonium. (Which is also why the shading looks so different on this one than the others) My friend, who also asked why Seo has tits asked "Why is he doing the white boy smile?" And I still don't know what that is, is it the smile white boys do when they catch a big fish and stare at the camera? I just thought it fit him to have a very wide mouth since he's a stone guy.
(Just searched up white boy smile. I see it now.)
Anyway, I don't think I'll actually redraw him entirely, just go in to fix his eyes because why is he crosseyed? He's supposed to sail people to the afterlife through fog and all kinds of tricky places, he cannot have vision other than 0 without causing like 70 holes in the hull of his boat.
Anyway, I'm still proud of how the markings on his chest and arms came out. The lantern is feh, his hair is really pretty but it doesn't look exactly like seagrass, might have to go back and edit it later. I also like his pants. They look like pants and they're baggy enough to hide his lack of knees. (In case you have not noticed, Goh does not have any joints. Oh, I should make his nose and eyebrows little pebbles, that would be nice)
BEHOLD THE BOAT!!! this is the boat. Also, can you see Paul? Because he's still here. I tried to draw the fog, but I don't feel like it really looks like fog? It's the best I could do, and looks like fog but it does not look like fog. I like the boat itself, looks somewhat accurate to sailboats, the only reason I know how to draw these is because I went to sailing school a few years ago and I know the different parts of a Rainbow Keelboat. It's the only sailboat I know how to draw.
(You have to look a bit hard but you can tell that there's a dock with ties)
Here we got his second design. SO MUCH MORE DETAIL than the original. I mean, the bar is in hell, as you've seen across the other original designs, but there isn't much change between all his designs, just a change in detail but you really can see the differences between each one.
I also apreciate the chart, L and R, front and back, Honestly, I forgot about the different markings on his thighs and hands, the only one's I've memorized are torso and face because they're easy.
Here we got his pose!! His iconic pose!! (And paul) obviously the watercolor version has a lot less detail because it's watercolor and I was in spain at the time and didn't have access to a fine tipped brush (Still don't, but I have toothpicks now.)
The lineart feels a bit weird because I drew this also at the airport while eating airport pizza. I only ate 5/6 of it and stuffed the rest into my backpack with a napkin wrapped around it. Already I knew I wasn't going to eat it because the texture of paper napkins are G R O S S and I forgot about it. Guess what I found on the plane ride back.
(Chat, what is this?)
Across all three designs, he's made of stone, why does he have joints? Or a neck? And why are his pants.
Like, you can see that I kept the idea the same but he just looks so much better. I don't really know what I was going for on this one, I know I was trying to do "Ancient man with markings and a boat" But I don't really feel that type of vibe coming off him in this first design.
BEHOLD THE KING OF SPADES!!!
Okay this one I wasn't overjoyed that it survived. He looks mostly cool but his EYES are bothering me so much. I don't know where his pupils went. Why does he have the hair of a cat? Why does he have Seo's hair? But his fit isn't exactly not fire?
