I have the first part of the story in a pdf- it isn't finished but I have a lot of it typed up, I'm looking for as much feedback as possible so if you'd like to read it, it's at the bottom of this page.
(I actually love her so much)
This is one of the first of Iska's victims. It took me forever to figure out her name, and I can't remember what I mentally souped up, so please help me find her a good one. (I drew the paper and pen version in Iceland during a car ride, so I kept randomly pausing to stare at the scenery as it passed by, which is why part of her design looks choppy. She's supposed to look old and falling apart but some of the lines look choppy, chunky, and just a bit weird. But I drew the digital version in the hotel while my parents were sleeping) And then the digital drawing ain't great because my digital art style ain't great. It's not bad but I could really go back and improve a few things. Something else I'd like to add is that her design follows the first one, but it has the same colors as the digital one.
She's similar to Oíus in which she's got three scorpion tails, very thin, and fragile bones. (They also both really like tea)
She doesn't have her own episode, but I think she might've been mentioned once?
She was actually the third character to be drawn digitally, Iska the first and the second being a cyborg guy who's basically a mix between Boothill (HSR) SDN (MD) and an emo. But it had been a long time since I'd drawn digitally so my style isn't as developed.
SUMA!! They crazy jester guy who switches between being aware and not. His episode is Ep-9-A fate worse than death. None of these drawings are when he's actually lucid, because he goes from "I'm too aware, and I must kill anyone who comes into contact with me so they don't get hurt by Iska too" (This includes eye contact. So he is not, in fact, lucid at this time.) However, just to mess with him, there are very few moments where he's actually realized all the people he's killed and accadentally brought closer to Iska. The first drawing- I just drew it when I tagged along with my dad to his office, but in this moment, he is the furthest thing from aware. One of his eyes is hanging out, he's actually smiling, so maybe he's just hanging out with Dahlia. The second is him and his scythe. (Every jester character needs their scythe, it's a right of passage.)
His old design was a bit unfortunate. Similar, but I realized that he was drawn interestingly when not 1, not 2, but 6 of my friends called him a whore 🥲, but he was also the first drawing in that sketchbook, where I'm still working through. But his proportions and shading are pretty good, I just don't feel like uploading it. I don't mind if you ask, I just won't right now.
Also, quick add- Suma is the only character to have his colors as black and white intstead of just being drawn without color, and he's got random spots of red, like makeup and horns and some of his shirt buttons. But that's it, everything else is colored as is.
Maybe later I'll add some more obvious removable joints so it will be less "Okay, you're just saying that because it's cool while keeping the character design not really matching what you describe her as 😒" when I say she can put herself back together like legos
This is Dahlia, people at the circus (Of course she is, why else is she in this part of the website?) She hangs out a lot with Suma, she does his makeup sometimes.
Dahlia's body already comes apart like legos and tinker toys, so she can easily rebuild herself. Suma has to slowly regenerate. But neither of them remember and go back to being besties.
Dahlia might get her own episode soon, she's really cool. It's fun to draw a headless character with a complex design. I genuinely love it when my designs are an animator's nightmare. I don't know which would be worse to animate, her head, sleeves, or prosthetic leg.
If you could or couldn't tell, she's kinda Danganronpa core? (Dang it grandpa) Like, Junko hair, and then just random X' and hearts and stars just generally remind me, and then just her one singular sock reminds me of Kokichi Oma. I didn't realize while I was drawing her, because I was drawing her in the car while watching the world go by. (The drive from where I live all the way up to Annapolis is actually gorgeous. The forest and the express way are fun. Don't know why but it just is. (Incase ye don't know, and express way is like a highway or route but no stop lights, hence the name- express way)
This is just an extra sketch, but I also always draw her head at an angle, connected to her body or not, it's how unstable her physical form is.
We got Luri, the girl with the gun. Her design actually came from the musical I formed in my head, the first song a part of the musical musical that wasn't just the seconds long intro was Fruiting Bodies but RIProducer, and the girl on the cover was how I pictured her until I actually drew her on paper, which then it changed radically.
I realized while drawing her that she looks like a nut cracker. I didn't even realize until I started coloring in her hair. I know that this drawing is suuuuuuuper high quality so I had a real long time to reflect on her design /s
Now I don't know If I mentioned her at all, damn I really gotta start keeping track of the characters I talk about in episodes by putting each name in the description of the episode. However, since I just slapped her name on here at the last second, I doubt it. So, allow me to give ye a bite sized description before I upload episode 22 later. She's the soul that was hunting for food in the woods before Suma saw her, and thought that making eyecontact made it warranted to kill her so that Iska couldn't get to her (he was a bit delustional, but self aware in the fact that he's cursed.) Now, he failed and Iska got to her. She kept her rifle and became friends with Suma and Dahlia. They're the iconic group of Jester, Clown, and Nut cracker.
Actually, I just drew her in school quickly, didn't take too long. Anyway, next class I failed the quiz. (Don't be like me, pay attention in school kids.)
el gato
(Minutes before Suma got her)
I don't know how to draw characters holding rifles, I just went off of how I carry my lazer guns during lazer tag, the two times I played way back when.
Here is the guy who chases Luri in the final third of the third book, this is how he comes in. Legit, comes from a hole in the cieling or portal or something, Luri doesn't know, she just saw him crawl down and smile at her, not saying a word, before chasing her. Not one word. I haven't figured out his name, but he's kinda like Barnaby from Billie Bust Up, but he doesn't sing or say anything. Actually, he doesn't even have a voice.
He's never ending. Actually, if you go down his back and keep running and running for hours, days, weeks, you wouldn't find an end to this wooden snake type guy.
The purple is essentially blood/rust. Like if a rusty old door hinge bled as it rusted over? The eight shoulder joints in the front "bleed" the most because they have the most strain put on them. It does hurt him when he moves but he's just gotten used to it. Of course, that doesn't mean he isn't aware of it. Same with the gashes in his arms and his bleeding mouth, and especially his decapitated head that he has to actively keep it attached to him, as in, he puts it on and it stays without his hands holding it, but then he has to mentally use some ammount of energy to keep it on. (It's also why he doesn't have a voice. He used to, but it's kinda hard to speak when your head is held on by scotch tape buried in the junk drawer and half a prayer.) But I imagine his voice sounded kinda weak, raspy, kinda like he's got strep throat but worse. Just imagine Nagito after smoking 12 packs
I dare you to read this
Suma just hanging
It's a pdf, so I can't update as easily.
Remember, first drafts are always ass.
