They don't have charcoal drawings yet, because they have second designs. (Mari has a second design, this is the first Raōsen.) We got a fish and an octopus. It was fun drawing Mari's fins. Raōisen took an embarrasingly long time to draw.
I wouldn't change much about Mari's fundamentals. She's still gonna have fin textured hair because keratin strand hair doesn't make much sense. Her ears are staying, she's still gonna have all her fins along her sides and back, however I would like to add some more scales to her and change her face up a bit. I like her eyes and the scales under her eyes, but I would make her nose a bit more hooked. Raōisen wouldn't have many changes but I would make his eyes into dark voids.
Here we got some doodles of them. Mari got her sickle out and Raōsen is taking out a bunch of sailors. You know, the usual.
Also- the sickle is made of her bone, whcih is why it looks like that. (I just realized how similar it looks to Gyutaro's)
This is her original design, as you can tell, it doesn't make much sense. I don't know where the side cape came from, I don't know why her pants are so loose. I also don't know why she had random beads. V1 and V2 are so incredibly different. Also there isn't much of a description for her face, so I just assume she has fish eyes? I don't know and neither do you. (Yay we match!!)
