Edit Point Values

Edit Point Values

Premium users can edit the point values of each individual box in a TableQuiz. If you have an answer that you want to weigh differently from each other, you can use this feature to change how points are distributed on your assessment.

1 - Open Point Editor

To edit the point values on a quiz key, click Add-ons => TableQuiz => Edit Point Values. This option will only appear if the key is loaded and you have an active subscription to TableQuiz Premium.

2 - Editing Your Point Values

After clicking Edit Point Values, you should see a sheet that looks similar to your quiz key. Instead of the answers, however, each answer blank will contain the point value for its answer. By default, all of these will be set to 1. You can adjust these to any number to change the value of each answer. You can even use decimals for partial points. For example:

  • If you would like to make an answer worth twice as much as a normal response, change its number to 2.
  • If you would like to make an answer worth half as much as a normal response, change its number to 0.5.

3 - Saving Your Point Values

Once you've customized all of your point values, click Add-ons => TableQuiz => Save Point Values. This will once again load your key. Whenever you make a new quiz file from this key, its default total score will be set to the new maximum score based on your point values (you can still adjust it if you would like a lower total score).

These new point values will be used whenever a student grades a quiz file associated with this key, even if the quiz file is shuffled or a subset.
