Hamburg Korean Food Restaurant

Looking up on Google and Trip Advisor, we found 'Hanmi Restaurant'. It is a spacious aesthetic and true-to-the-culture Korean restaurant filled with Korean ginseng in glass jars (bit terrifying looking) and paintings by Korean restaurants. The menu consists of Korean cuisine only (even though there was no 'Soju' on the drinks menu). And it all sounds and looks appetizing. So, going clockwise, starting from the left-top, we got

  1. Goki Bibimbap: A rice dish with veggies, a raw egg yolk, chicken with a side of hot sauce to make it as spicy as you like!. Add a lot. ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆

  2. Mad Tang and Hotteok: Caramalised sweet potatoes which sounds unusual but goes great together. The other thing is hotteok which is a crispy pnacake filled with nuts and honey.

  3. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (sweet po-tah-to)
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (sweet samosa alternative)Black Sesame Icecream: A vanilla icecream with crunchy black sesame. If you love vanilla like me, it is still not that great! ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆

  4. Kanpunngi: Korean fried chicken in a sweet savoury sauce. This was the best of all that we ordered! ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆

  5. Mandu: Fried chicken dumpling. Solid filling, not greasy. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

  6. Tofu Jiggae: A stew/soup (don't really know the distinction) with tofu and tuna. Tofu as per its usual tasted bland (what could they do) and personally, the tuna did not go well. ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆

The jiggae also came with a bunch of sides including kimchi, cucumber, some leaves and other things that I could not identify but tasted healthy is all I can say.
