Beartown

Extremely emotional story about a small town which believes in hockey and would do anything for the local hockey team. We traversed through many different characters and see from their point of you how hockey is related to them. Someone as a coach someone is a manager someone is a hockey player someone is the wife of the manager. All of them in the town Space have some kind of responsibility which stems from hockey. It’s heartbreaking to go to the minds of the players and how pressurize the field to win. It breaks my heart to read about the coaches who are giving it their all but falling just shot. It also touches upon how the town reacts to The local Starboy raping a girl. Having the heart at the right place does not mean that you won’t do the rating possible to protect your family. This beautiful book made me question 1000 times what my reaction would be. I punched my Gut do you realize how biased I am and how biased the society is.
