Students in ENS 392 - Sustainable Agriculture: Ideas and Techniques participated in an experiential seed saving activity, harvesting seeds from the food crop Buckwheat, medicinal herb Echinacea, and culinary herb Dill, while also considering the connections between agriculture and spirituality in class.
Students learned about the Anishinaabe belief in plants and food as ancestors.
