Dam Restoration Along the Grand River

There are multiple dams placed all along the Grand River watershed. These dams have played a huge part in altering the river from reduced recreational use , changes in fish migration patterns, and changes in sediment deposition. I will be exploring how dams have altered the river and review the Grand Rapids WhiteWater plan to have dams removed. I will look at the removal of these dams, to see if it's a good plan, or if the removal could have worsening effects on the river.
