Revising (ARMS, The big picture)

Revising includes Adding, Removing, Moving and Substituting words, sentences, and even entire paragraphs to make the writing more accurately represent  the ideas. It is often not a one-time event, but a continual process as the paper progresses. This may be very difficult for some students in the beginning, so allow students time to voice aloud the problems they see in their writing.

When revising, it is helpful to use a checklist like this.
