Hello:)

My name is Susie. I am an ESL literacy teacher. I have a certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Cambridge CELTA and a Bachelor degree in Engineering. I have been teaching literacy learners in classroom since 2008. I have also been providing one-on-one English reading/writing, math, abacus and Mandarin tutoring both in person and on line since 2017. In my free time, I like to volunteer at Calgary Public Library .

I firmly believe that teaching is one of my gifts and has become a core passion in life. My role as a reading/writing/math coach goes far beyond helping with homework. I initially assess students’ strengths and weaknesses in regard to decoding, reading comprehension, writing knowledge and math skills. I then design lessons specific to each student through reading, writing and math activities.
