This wedge is a custom positioning device designed to provide support and improve body alignment during seated or reclined activities. Its angled surface can help position a user more comfortably, provide additional postural support, or accommodate individuals who have difficulty maintaining a desired position independently. Because the dimensions can be modified during fabrication, the wedge can be customized to meet an individual user’s positioning needs.
The wedge was constructed from tri-wall cardboard, using a folded outer structure reinforced with internal cardboard supports. The pieces were measured and cut to create the desired angle, then joined using hot glue and white glue to form a strong, stable structure. Internal supports helped distribute force throughout the device, while the exterior edges and corners were finished to create a smoother and safer final product.
