CONCERT EVENT INFORMATION
1. Activity Description (to be filled in by staff): Junior High String Event at Light House Arts Centre
This is the second part of the HRA Junior High String Event. Students will be bussed from their schools
to the Light House Arts Centre, where they will participate in afternoon rehearsals, leading up to the evening
Performance. This performance will bring together over 200 junior high string students from across HRM!
The first part, held in October in Dartmouth with guest clinician Grace Law, was a great success and we are excited for
this final part of HRA’s Junior High String Event!!
Schedule for Tuesday, March 10, 2026 (snow date is March 11, 2026)
1. Students travel by bus from their junior high school to the Light House Arts Centre - please see the bus
schedule below.
2. Once students arrive at the Light House Arts Centre by bus, there will be rehearsals/activities in small and
large groups until 5:00 pm, when the students will then have time to eat their supper.
3. 4. 5. 6:10 pm doors open for the public for the evening concert featuring HRA’s 200+ junior high string students!
6:30 pm concert begins (no tickets - concert is free!)
After the concert the students will be free to go home with their family.

Required equipment and clothing:
Please bring a bagged snack & supper, that does not need to be heated, for them to eat at the Light House Arts Centre.
String instrument: Please ensure that your child’s instrument case is clearly labelled as many cases look alike.
Students are to wear their long sleeve black HRA shirts they received in October at part one of this event.
