"M" - Mathematics

Mathematics is a course of study that can be applied to a wide range of careers.  Most people use some form of math each and every day, sometimes without even thinking about it.  According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics,  the median salary of an actuary in 2021 was $105,900 and the job outlook suggested growth of 24% through 2030. This growth is projected to be much more rapid than other careers. Math is a significant prerequisite to success as an actuary. Your role as a Mentor is to help your mentee to gain a better understanding of the potential career paths studying math provides.
