In 2017 and 2018, the Research group “Business and Industrial Park Development” performs three case studies into transformation projects. In Deventer an office building has been partially transformed to “De Robijn”, including small rental apartments. In Zwolle a complex relocation process involved the city library and the retailer “Zara”. The final study, of the transformation of “Stadspoort” in Enschede to larger apartments, is ongoing. The studies aim at ‘reconstructing’ the interaction processes, and subsequently derive provisional ‘lessons learned’ in order to help involved stakeholders, such as developers and local government, in future transformation processes.
