Match Racing

The inaugural Match Racing event was run today. 6 Boats braved the threat of bad weather (which never eventuated). 6 entries meant 5 rounds of 3 races in each round, making 15 races in total. Winds were light and the event took about an hour to complete. With decent weather we believe we could run 2 events  within the 2 hours allocated. 

Racing started at 10am. Congratulations to John Heard and Murray Walker who won 4 of their allotted 5 races. A race was held to decide the overall winner with John eventually crossing the line just ahead of Murray.  This form of racing is different and it makes you want to tune your boat after every race, which I certainly don't do in normal racing.  

A fun day which we plan to repeat.
