Title: Uncovering asymmetry in midplane of proto-planetary disks: methodology and application to DSHARP data

Abstract: While numerous substructures in proto-planetary disks have been identified by ALMA, conclusive evidence for the embedded planets, e.g.,  emissions from circumplanetary disks (CPDs) or planet-induced spirals, still remains limited. We present an analytic framework for deriving a radial profile and geometry for an axisymmetric structure assuming radio continuum emissions, and apply it to the DSHARP data to explore the non-axisymmetric components by subtracting the axisymmetric models. We do not find any strong candidates for CPDs in the DSHARP data. On the other hand, we identify possible odd-symmetric spiral features in Elias 2-24, Elias 2-27, and DoAr 25. In the cases of Elias 2-24 and Elias 2-27, the observed spirals are marginally consistent with theoretical phases predicted for embedded planets, which are hinted at by kinks in velocity maps. The comparison for DoAr 25, however, shows a large inconsistency, indicating the difficulty in interpreting it with a planetary spiral. In addition, we find that Elias 2-27, IM Lup, and WaOph6 with two-arm spirals could be accompanied by barred structures at inner regions. The confirmation of these barred structures, however, requires additional analyses.
