BigFoot's Business

The Design

Revisions: I changed the resolution in the image.

Background: I love a good conspiracy theory! In the 3rd grade I made feet for Bigfoot for a 'science' project. I thought it might be fun to give Bigfoot a business card.

Contrast: I wanted the title of the business to really pop, so I stuck with white but kept the color in the orginal image.

Alignment: The strong right alignment send the message I was aiming for, so the business name, slogan and information are all down the right side.

Proxmity: I put the business name and slogan by each other and all the basic information so it's easy to find.

Repitition: I repeated the same text in the company name, slogan and information.

Color Scheme: A few years ago, I visited a friend living in oregon. I thought that place would fit the bill for Bigfoot, so I kept to a darker, moodier color pallet.

Font Choice: I was in elementary school in the late 80's early 90's so I kept to that era of text, the font is Condor. The company name and solgan is medium while the information is bolded.

Photoshop: I found the background image on unsplash and the Bigfoot image on Pixabay. I put both images into camera raw. After trying a few different adjustments, I felt the auto option looked the best.

In Photoshop, I started with the Bigfoot image. I selected the object selection tool to isolate the Bigfoot image. Once the image was selected and masked, I made a few adjustments but overall, photoshop did a great job. I edited the mask to include a few places that weren't initally selected, changed the radius of the selection and used the refine brush tool on the fur.

Once I had Bigfoot edited, I copied over the background image and cropped it. I arragned the layers so the Bigfoot image was on top of the background and did a free transform to shrink him down in size. I also changed the opacity so it would look like he was fading into the background.

I kept the text to a right alignment to make a stronger statement. I wanted the company name and slogan to really stand out, so I picked white, while the information I picked black. After playing around with the font choice, I picked Condor. It keeps in the late 80's early 90's theme.
