The region of the Sunswept Wastes is harsh and even the toughest of folks can struggle due to the relentless elements. If the sun isn't beating down on the sandy and barren land, then there's probably a sandstorm brewing! Rain is rare and even when it does happen, thunderstorms can cause Flash Flooding or Fires!
These are just some of the examples that can occur to Solara Veil, as Hazards and Weather conditions can occur at anytime to everyone.
In fact, they happen every month at random! So be prepared!
With conditions and weather patterns constantly changing throughout the year, it's important to keep up to date on what's occurring to your town. In fact, depending on the condition, it can either affect one type of character (general Solarans or Adventurers) or all of the characters all at once!
Not to mention that while these events can bring in their own unique situations to the Town, it can also sometimes be devastating to characters. Some characters can get injured, thus certain items may go up in price, buildings can be damaged or torn down and more!
Proper Equipment and Drafts would help an Architectural Guild member be well equipped and prepared to build and repair for their fellow Solarans!
With the town having a dry environment, Fires are a real threat to everyone. Fire can burn infrastructure in varying degrees: from a small burn to whole building being burned to the ground!
✦ In fact, some Fires have the potential to bring the loss of Inventory, destruction of Equipment or, in rare cases, a Business can be completely burned to the ground.
✦ Some Draft Pokémon can help fight these. Or special Equipment too.
With crops and food becoming a big important factor with everyday life, however when a pest infestation event occurs, all food items are in danger.
✦ In fact, when this Hazard occurs, then all food items in the store go up 50% for a limited time. This also includes seeds.
✦ Food items/Crops that are sold will have a 50% reduction sell-rate to them as well. As these food items are at lesser quality than they are typically thanks to pests.
✦ Some Draft Pokémon can help prevent these. Or special Equipment too.
Though rare, when a Flash Flood occurs, destruction is sure to follow.
✦ Ruined fields, lost Crops, loss of Coin, damaged buildings, and even drowned Livestock can happen!
✦ This Hazard also effects Recruits as well when they go exploring in the Wastelands, since it makes traveling more difficult.
✦ Draft Companions can help a Solaran out though. Or special Equipment too.
The region of the Sunswept Wastes is primarily a desert, so it has two seasons: Dry and Rainy. During the Dry Season, Heat Exhaustion is a fair concern and can be hazardous to those who don't take precaution.
✦ Can result in losing half of your Coins during the event for submission.
✦ Livestock & Crops can also be affected in this as well!
✦ Some Draft Pokémon can help prevent these. Or special Equipment too.
Sandstorms are a frequent occurrence in the Sunswept Wastes, and these storms can form quite quickly and be devastatingly destructive.
✦ During Sandstorms, neither Houses OR Occupations can be Repaired. Why? Well it's storming outside!
✦ In fact, when anyone travels in this Hazard, it can cause folks to lose Coins when they venture out.
✦ It also effects the prices the Livestock & Crops as well.
✦ Some Draft Pokémon can help prevent these. Or special Equipment too.

Whether it be from the weather, a rampaging Pokémon, or poor craftsmanship, sometimes fences break! When this happens, Livestock tend to flee and a Rancher needs to spend time and energy rounding them up. This newfound freedom and being wrangled can stress out any Livestock!
✦ When this occurs, the stress causes the Produce of Livestock to be of lesser quality, which means it typically sells at half-price.
✦ Some Draft Pokémon can help prevent these. Or special Equipment too.
Ever since the town has grown in wealth and population, Outlaws have set their eyes onto Solara Veil and have taken upon themselves to loot and raid the village! This event can be quite destructive when it hits, and effects the whole town!
✦ When this occurs, the town will face some heavy Damages to Occupations of all kinds, even Houses too! This will require the town to open up it's Donation Box to try to Repair the Town's Occupations
✦ Not only that, but some Characters could also get randomly Damaged as well. So be sure to go to the Clinic when Injury hits.
✦ The Town Progress will also be effected as well since Outlaws will steal from the Town Treasury during the raid.
✦ Some Draft Pokémon can help prevent these. Or special Equipment too.
It's a nice day!
Sure it might be hot, and maybe there's a rare cloud or two, but otherwise - it's just a standard Sunswept Wastes day!
To help prevent any natural or man-made disaster, there are various Equipment available that the Architectural Guild can create for your character to help prevent a business, home, or food to be damaged and prevent loss. Some of these items can be a Sand Wall to help prevent a future Sandstorm, Brigade Trough or a Fire Douser to help prevent Fires.
Alternatively, one can also purchase a Draft Pokémon that is trained to help prevent the loss or damage to their Owner's property and business. Draft Pokemon can be bought in the Desert Bloom Ranch.
However, once damages and injuries occur, it's best that your character either saves up for the proper Equipment, or Purchase necessary Repairs from the Architectural Guild or go to the Clinic if injured.
Note For Equipment prices and information on How To Purchase, please see the Solara Architectural Guild.
