Every town has an economy to support, which means a healthy and sustainable commerce system. Unfortunately, the Town of Solara Veil is a far shade from its heyday. There are a number of Vacant Storefronts, of various sizes and states of disrepair lining the Market Distract, but with each vacant establishment comes opportunity for those who are willing to put in the work.
Business Owners who are willing to take the time and, more importantly, the funds to breathe new life into the town's economy by expanding the variety of stores, shops, and trades available to Solarans. For any prospective Business Owner wanting to claim a vacant Storefront, a visit to the Architectural Guild is required in order to make sure the Storefront is fixed up before customers can start coming in!
Who knows! Maybe as shops prosper, Business Owners will be able to hire Business Employees and create new Occupation opportunities for those looking for work.
Businesses can be managed by one person: the Owner, while others require Employees or Hired Help, especially as they grow and expand. Not every Solaran can own their own Business, and hiring Business Employees creates job opportunities for Solarans who are seeking work.
To hire help, a Wanted Ad will have to be created and placed in the Desert Dawn News. It's hard work starting up a Business, and harder still to manage a growing Business by yourself, let alone making sure that the Sand and Pests stay outside, in addition to the potential Damage from Sandstorms and Bandits!
Hard work pays off, however! With each new Business that opens and finds success, the more lively, profitable, and desirable the Town of Solara Veil becomes!
