Her Fertile Lands Are Fed by the Starfell Spring and the New Guild Row Seeks Aspiring Guilders
Whether your character stays at the inn for a night, a week, or a month, every character must start out by staying at the Inn. Why? Well... maybe they don't have enough money saved for a house and property? Maybe their house is still being built? Maybe they initially intended on moseying on out after a day or two but then fell in love?!
Who knows! Be creative with it!
So! Your character has been in Solara Veil for however long, be this a day, a week, a month or two and have now decided to stay and settle.
Or! Maybe that was their plan all along? Whatever the reasoning, now they need a place to call their own.
Well, good news! There are a bunch of Properties just ripe for the taking all around Solara Veil and Starfell Spring.
Yes! For FREE!
So here's the deal:
The Solara Veil Town Council very much want to entice people to stay in the Town so that it can return to how it resembled back in its glory days. So all newcomers willing to move and settle into the Town are guaranteed Property... as long as they develop the land given to them and contribute to the growing economy of the town.
Some Properties are empty and abandoned and could use a little tender love and care, while other buildings should be torn down with a new House must be rebuilt entirely... eventually! That costs Coins and time and if your Altermew is in Solara Veil to stay, then that will come!
Be creative with why your Solaran lives where they do and the style of House they have!

To claim a Property lot, you simply need to create a Submission that depicts your character moving to their new Property. This could be them staring at their new land, standing unimpressed or enthusiastic in their rundown house, or however you want! Have fun and be as creative as you want!
All Properties come with an Old House - what this looks like is up to member interpretation.
The member sends a Submission Form via the drop-down menu found in the Submit Mail channel on the Discord server. This will open a pop-up form to fill out.
In the form, the member must provide the link to their Property depiction Submission and the member's choice of an Address. Please also include the name of your character and their Storage link.
Addresses can be chosen from the available lots on the Solara Veil Property Map - check for availability before you post, because Properties are first come, first served! Addresses are written like this: B16
Once the form is complete, click the Submit button. This will create a Private Mail channel with the information that you have provided.
Wait for a mod to accept your Submission and confirm your character's new property. Once you get that confirmation, congratulations!
Your character is now a Property owner and an official Solaran! They can now start thinking about Expanding their Family if they want to.
Let's admit it... that Old House of yours? Yeah, it's seen better years. It's a hard life living out in the Sunswept Wastes, even in Solara Veil, and your Altermew deserves a comfortable and structurally sound home to come back to after a long day of work that definitely won't fall over during the next Sandstorm.
While the Property and House might have been free, fixing up your Old House certainly isn't! Fear not, as it'll only take some elbow grease and some good and honest work to patch up those holes and replace those cracked windows! In order to do that properly, a Solaran will need to Commission a professional so that the work is done correctly, which means contacting the Architectural Guild to do that for you! Of course, that would require Coins so save your funds for your House Renovation!
Gosh golly!
That last brush with some Bad Weather was really rough and maybe your House lost a few shingles... and a window or two. On top of that, you find yourself owning too many Companions that are not living within a Pokémon House.
Now what?
A Solaran with a Damaged Home don't make as many Coins. Good work comes with a good night's sleep, after all! How can anyone expect to work efficiently with a leaky roof keeping them up at night?
If your House was Damaged, the percentage of damage would have been assigned randomly (with a chance of there being no damage at all) and a certain percentage of Coins would be lost for Everyday Submissions.
Note If the Hazard happens to be a Sandstorm, then House Repairs CANNOT take place during this event. Why? It's a Sandstorm! It's too dangerous to try and work on your House while that's brewin' outside!
Thankfully! There are ways to Repair your House!
Either by Commissioning the Architectural Guild
OR
Get together as a community because neighbours can collab (visual art) to help each other Repair their Houses!
Note The more Renovations a House has, the less Damage it'll sustain from Hazards and Bad Weather!

In Solara Veil, a person doesn't have to wait for Marriage to live with someone else. Be it a roommate, significant other, or house guest that never leaves, whatever the case may be up to four Solarans can live together. However, the number of House Occupants depends on how Renovated a House is.
Having more people living together makes sense! Saves on costs and it's always nice to have someone to cuddle up against during the cold desert nights.
Note Once Cohabitation begins, the original owner of the House will be listed as the Main Owner and all costs and how those costs are paid for must be discussed amongst members and outlined in the related Mail.
In order for characters to move in with one another, both members must have discussed and agreed this beforehand!
Once a decision has been made, a Submission is required that depicts all involved Solarans moving into the prime residence (however that might look like). This could be two separate pieces, a collaboration, or a RP Record of at least 2,000 words that must be submitted to the Submit Channel of the Discord. To check what qualifies as a Submission, check the Submissions page.
These requirements CAN be supplied with a New Character's Application, if members have discussed beforehand that the New Character is moving to Solara Veil to live with an already established Character at their Property Address.
Provide a link to the Storages of the members involved. Make sure the links are clickable!
Wait for a mod to accept your Submission and confirm your characters' new Cohabitation status. Once you get that confirmation, congratulations! Your characters now live together on the same property!
What does this mean? Well... besides having someone to say good morning to each day, now you both can save on costs! All members can now contribute towards House Renovations! Hurray!
