Our idea was to create biodegradable cups that will be made from biodegradable plastic, which will be destroyed in few months, much less compared to the cups and glasses made from synthetic materials whose degradation period lasts for several years, aspect that affects the health of the planet and implicitly ours. But more companies have been more eco-conscious about our environment and started using biodegradable or reusable items in their businesses such as paper or metal straws, recycled napkins, implementing reusable cups made from biodegradable materials such as bamboo or coffee grounds in their coffee shops .Some businesses in California started making cups made from bio-plastic, but there are special machinery needed from them to be recycled and reused that not many facilities have so they have same bad impact for our planet.

So, in time, I hope that we will come up with a convenient version from both points of view, but now we will briefly present our project.

Why we choose this idea?

Because most people prefer to go out every day for coffee or tea, and early in the morning when they are going to their jobs, it is much more convenient for everyone to buy a coffee than make it. So, every day we use a lot of cups and glasses made of harder degradable plastic.

For the beginning these cups will be introduced in small cafes which can be used by everyone and then in the most important cafes. People will have to choose between normal cups or to buy a coffee with a higher price to receive a biodegradable cup.

Also, besides the cups every customer will be received a biodegradable napkin and straw.

How we will produce these cups?

The production of these items will be in a factory, probably a house that we will rent, with the necessary documents, close to a small and poorly developed city, where people needs jobs. We will hire the minimum number of people needed, including 2, 3 drivers. The biodegradable materials that we can use are of vegetable origin such as starch and cellulose, which can be broken down into water and carbon dioxide or methane.

After they have been produced, they will also be packaged in biodegradable bags, being transported by trucks driven by our drivers, to the point of sale.

We will also need promotion for our project, so before, but also after placing the products on the market, we will share biodegradable flyers in which we will explain the advantages of choosing our product. A web page will also be created in which different types of products will be presented, of different sizes and colors, so that people, but also the owners of the cafes can choose the desired model.

Who are our competitors?

Many companies have been more eco-conscious about our environment and started using biodegradable or reusable items in their businesses such as paper or metal straws, recycled napkins, implementing reusable cups made from biodegradable materials such as bamboo or coffee grounds in their coffee shops .Some businesses in California started making cups made from bio-plastic, but there are special machinery needed from them to be recycled and reused that not many facilities have so they have same bad impact for our planet.

There are companies that are already on the market, known companies, or similar to ours. But in order to reach the top, we will have to bring something extra, something that will make us unique, and people will always choose us. Besides the fact that our products are environmental friendly , the prices will be minimal and the quality at the highest level, plus more variants of your choice regarding the aspect of the cup.

We hope that our project will come out as we intended, and those around us will help us to save the planet through small things, such as buying your coffee.
