"Blur" is me and me is blur. Me saw who? Me saw who! Who did it? I think it was me. Anyway, the piece isn't that great due to me not putting in enough detail on the beard and neck. It definitely needed more gradients.
"Ink" is actually made with charcoal, not ink if you can believe it. It also is half additive, half reductive. You might be wondering what the mask is, now that you have seen it twice already in my self-portraits. To answer your question that you may or may not be asking about, the answer is simple, yet at the same time complex. The simple answer is it is my mask. The complex answer is a long story, one fit for another time in another piece. What about the rest of the work, what does it mean? That's for me to know and you to find out. Maybe if you ask in person instead of sifting deep into my site, I might give less evasive answers about it. But remember might! I said might! Might isn't always right after all.Â
And yes, I am going to be this evasive about all the self-portraits. I'm self-conscious, you know, and if you can believe it pretty shy. That doesn't mean that I am not an open book, just that most of the book is in code.
"I's" is a simplified version of a written piece that I made for creative writing in high school. It is sort of like a mind palace, but it's not for remembering stuff, it's for sifting through stuff. What stuff? You know, the stuff. The stuff for stuff, the stuff chosen especially to do stuff, stuff's stuff. That stuff.
There is also hidden parts of the work that can only be seen in person and via seeing things in a different light. Pretty skibidi lit no cap right fam? It's almost like it's the bees knees, if you so please.
