Course Content:
• Introduction to microprocessors. Simple-As-Possible (SAP) Architecture (SAP1 & SAP2) (Text 1: chapter 10 & 11)
• Intel 8086 microprocessor: addressing modes, instruction sets, assembly language programming (Text 2: chapter 1-11)
• Intel 8086 microprocessor: architecture, system design and interrupt (Text 3: chapter 7&8)
• Interfacing: programmable peripheral interface (Text 3: chapter 9)
• Interfacing: programmable timer/COUNTER (Text 3: chapter 8)
• Interfacing: serial communication interface (Text 3: chapter 14)
• Interfacing: programmable interrupt controller (Text 3: chapter 8)
