Design and Development of a Smart Home

Description:

The designed smart home is equipped with smart lighting to ensure proper illumination and automatic speed controlled fan based on temperature and humidity to ensure coziness.

It saves power by automatically turning off electronic appliances when none is present and almost 50% energy can be saved.

Manual overriding is also present to deal with anomalies.

Authentic digital circuitry is used to ensure maximum possible speed and efficiency with small power dissipation.

The performed tasks are:

  • Temperature-sensor and Humidity-sensor interfacing with digital circuitry
  • Design of a Laser-LDR system for detection of number of people in the room and detection of presence of light
