Sign Language Interpreter for Hearing and Speech Impaired People
A Bangla sign language interpreter for the first time
Sign language has emerged as a medium of communication for hearing and speech-impaired people. Spoken Bangla is detected in this project with excellent accuracy and converted to streaming Sign Language. This project will be very helpful to aid communication of hearing and speech impaired persons. Movement of hand-joints will be detected and a neural network will be trained using different motions signifying different words. Then the trained dataset will be used for word-level detection of sign language.
RAFI & RAFI- II - Autonomous Area Mapping and Multi-tasking Robot
This robot can perform following tasks:
- Object grabbing
- Object recognition
- 3-D mapping of the object’s surrounding
- Speech Recognition (Voice command following)
- Gesture recognition (powered with Xbox Kinect)
Design and Development of a Y4 Copter
This Y4 copter that we developed is a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) with autonomous subsystems.
Automation is implemented in case of maintaining the desired roll, pitch and yaw using Quaternion and PID control scheme.
E- Bot
The robot is empowered with voice-recognition (possible any language) which enables it to perform different tasks according to the voice-commands and have little chit-chat with people and act as companion in lonely times.
Computer Vision Based Appliance Control
This project includes different types of computer-application control without keyboard and mouse using computer-vision algorithms.
It includes:
- Motion-tracking based gaming. (we have demonstrated Street fighter IV)
- Face-tracking based panoramic image viewing.
- Hand-movement based power point slide-show.
AHMEDULLAHBOT- A Fast Grid and Maze Solver Robot
It’s a self-driven vehicle capable of localizing itself in a grid and planning a path between two nodes. It can avoid particular nodes and create path between two allowed nodes. This robot can also solve mazes.

A secure and reliable system for remotely controlling electrical appliances by Short Messaging Service (SMS) and/or internet.
Inherent Inter-vehicle Signaling Using RF and IR Communication
An effort to replace hydraulic horn based signalling systems between vehicles in Bangladesh.
Two alternative schemes are tested to avoid the use of hydraulic and pneumatic horns responsible for sound pollution. Cost effective signaling systems using radio frequency (RF) and infra-red (IR) have been developed with the implementation of working circuitry to replace the conventional horns.
Design and Development of a Smart Home
The designed smart home is equipped with smart lighting to ensure proper illumination and automatic speed controlled fan based on temperature and humidity to ensure coziness. It saves power by automatically turning off electronic appliances when none is present.
Prospect and Optimization of Green Energy Mixture for Decentralized Hybrid Power Generation in Bangladesh
A Feasible Decentralized Hybrid Power Generation System in Bangladesh Involving an Optimized Mixture of Green Energies (Biomass, Solar and Wind) with Fossil Fuel is designed.
