E-BOT

Description:

The robot is empowered with voice-recognition which enables it to perform different tasks according to the voice-commands and have little chit-chat with people and act as companion in lonely times. The hands have 4 degrees of freedom and they are able to grab objects of different size and shape. It can even perform handshakes with people. The head has 2 degrees of freedom which enables it to rotate in different directions.

The body of the robot is built with ply-wood.

  • The hands are constructed using Aluminum sheet and pipes.
  • The head is also built with Aluminum sheet.
  • Servo-motors are used for hand and head movements.

The unique feature of this robot is that it can communicate with people in Bangla as it is equipped with Bangla language recognition. Gaussian-mixture-model and k-means clustering are used for voice-recognition. The voice-recognition algorithm is so powerful that it can recognize any language if it is trained with it. Voice-recognition runs on MATLAB environment.
