This was the first ident of the set shown. The old Carlton "der der der" jingle was kept for this one. The letters C, A, R, L, T, O and N faded up along with the star. The star exploded, creating all the stars you see here.
This ident was one of the most loved Carlton idents ever. The Carlton logo would appear normal along with lots of little cars, then all of a sudden the cars would start up and set off, turning into fast moving black lines. The Carlton logo would then also set off but the camera would follow it.
This was a very simple static ident used to lead into newsflashes, it is very rare.
This was another well loved Carlton ident. The ident would start with a normal looking Carlton logo but then the LT would fall down from their place to the bottom of the screen, they would then bounce back up, disappear off the top of the screen and fall back into place. This picture is a capture from mid form-up.
Another simple static ident. This would sometimes be used to introduce a networked programme, but not always.
This was a special ident used before London Tonight. The LT would drop slightly, the lines would draw slowly from to the bottom and the words LONDON TONIGHT would appear in a small flash of light.
This ident was arguably the best of the Carlton set. The two arrowheads would either rise or fall and the word Carlton and the star would fade on slowly.
The Carlton test card. This test card was seen before a 1997 edition of London Tonight. It remained on screen for 5 minutes, London Tonight appeared and the colours appeared again during the adverts!
Then the idents will be used for Central, Westcountry, Roblox, Isle of Wight, TVM and Orkney TV.
