This page offers general advice for anybody self isolating.
Create a schedule - try to make sure you maintain a loose schedule even if not working from home. Try to change your clothes and shower daily, eat at the usual times and don't spend too much time watching TV. The days will pass more quickly and you will feel more energised if you do this.
Know the facts - be aware of the facts, and don't listen to high profile individuals (or just anybody in general) if they don't have credible evidence to back up their claims. The Guardian, BBC News, GOV.CO.UK, NHS, and Public Health England are all reliable sources of information. Social media is great for connectivity but can also cause misinformation to spread like wildfire.
Reach out to friends and family - just because you may not be able to see them in real life, does not mean you should cut off contact. They're also going through this, so a Skype or a FaceTime would probably be appreciated. Try doing things together that you'd normally do e.g watching a film or doing some yoga. Make this pandemic the time to reach out to people you haven't spoke to a while; simply ask them how they're doing. Who knows, something positive could come out of this situation!
Self-care - take time to indulge in yourself. This could mean many things, for example reading a book, rewatching a favourite show, learning a new skill or just taking the time to cook a lovely meal.
You don't have to spend this time wisely - you don't need to spend your time creating the next big screenplay or inventing a new type of gadget. Of course, this kind of thing may make some feel better but it's not going to be for everyone. And that's okay.
Appreciate things that you may normally not - let this time be the time for appreciating the little things.
Don't overindulge in the news - while it is important to keep updated, set a time each day to catch up. Avoid scrolling endlessly through live news feeds.
Keep moving - try a new activity, for example yoga. An app which is usually paid for called "Down Dog" is now free to use and is very good. If yoga is not your thing then go for a run or dance in your house. If you do go for a run, make sure to avoid people and maintain social distancing.
