Where Am I/ I Am

Heartbeats, teardrops,

that's part of everybody's life.

Sucker-punches, gun shots,

I seemed to never fear those nights.

So maybe that makes me crazy,

but I was chosen by this life.

However, where has it led me?

Doing stair-masters up and down a mountainside.

So I'm feeling solid, physically.

I won't allow myself to stop until I'm sitting mountain high.

So I bully myself, mentally.

Those mountain tops are capped with snow.

And I've been ice-cold, emotionally.

As I climb, I prospect my mountain for ore and gold.

Because regrettably, unfortunately, I'm at my lowest point historically, as long as we're speaking financially.

But I've got all the potential in the world, substantially.

And I've been preparing.

What have you been doing?

Society, answer me?

My invitation remains open to my God, and my friends, and my family.

When I'm ready to celebrate come and dance with me.

Don't question why I'll venture out into the wilderness alone.

Because in just a moment's notice I'll return, shining like a polished stone.
