Caught in the Middle.

"Caught in the Middle"

I don't want to write some sad shit

but I have fleeting reasons to feel happiness

and that's the story of my life-

stuck in between

what's commonly called hell on earth

and the sensation of my dreams

the former is somewhere I've definitely been

now I'm traveling along a road, in the middle of nowhere, on a quest for the latter

my mission impossible

stuck,

fighting, to bear this burden and lift it

trying, to keep my good spirits

reminiscing,

regretting,

maintaining my calm, cool demeanor,

sweating,

I don't do any forgetting

I might disregard

I still have the most charming smile

although times are hard

I have a good idea of right and wrong

but everyone's got their own ideas

like for instance of what is strong

so learning to detach myself from people

regardless of our relation, is perhaps why I'm still floating

and maybe I'll float right on into heaven on earth

just as long as I keep going.
