What Happens?

What Happens?

You might get buried in the daily news stories

You might get lost somewhere in this world's traffic

You could come up, by dumb luck

or You could self-destruct

And in this life, that's just what happens

Some people just know the right folks

Some people just take the right actions

You can rob for your wealth

and think only of yourself

because in this life, that is what happens

Talking might get you somewhere

Working might present a distraction

Perhaps you'll shoot before you aim

Maybe you'll misunderstand the game

but in this life, that's just what happens

I'll continue my quest no matter what goes wrong

I could spend my entire life desiring satisfaction

I couldn't be more worried if I tried

I couldn't be more focused if I lied

of course, in this life, that is what happens

We all make our fair share of mistakes

We all experience the tough breaks

We all feel the pains and aches

But then, after the misfortunes - what happens?
