Belief, in essence

Yes I do believe.

I believe in myself.

I find it nearly impossible to believe in anything else.

Not a savior, not in family, not a lover, not in friends.

Not my neighbors.

Not in a just world, until the end.

I do believe that beauty is never man made.

I do believe that life is for sacrifice.

I do believe in positive and negative.

And I believe we all know the difference.

I do believe in good riddance.

I do believe in blessings, and miracles, and the occurrence of luck.

And I believe in "sometimes just being fucked."

Why, with deception, lies, treachery, disguise, alibis, and surprise

- I believe our lives are entirely a guise.

Still, I believe in order.

And I do believe, this, is the New World.

But I do not believe in slavery.

And I believe there are plenty of weaklings.

Although I believe none were made to be.

I believe in embracing a challenge.

I believe in walking the walk, measured in mileage.

I believe there's value in silence, and even in an appropriate violence.

I believe in respect for prowess and science.

And I do believe that wealth equals power.

But I cannot believe that mankind will allow knowledge and wisdom to sour.
