Our Banded Mandarin Tuxedo Shirt features a stand-up collar, 1/2 inch pleats, convertible placket, and barrel cuffs. The stand up-collar is trimmed in a black band. The convertible placket allows you to use either the regular shirt buttons or fancier shirt studs. The shirt comes with a set of 4 black plastic studs that you can remove. Made in poly/cotton. Comes in white/black only. Youth to Adult sizing.

Our adjustable pleated tuxedo pants are great for all formal occasions!

The waist adjusts in and out 1 inch for supreme comfort. Each leg has the classic satin stripe. No belt loops. Pants come unhemmed. Youth to Adult sizing. Made in 100% Poly Poplin to match our Tuxedo Coats. Available in black only.

SCMS Band Uniform Instructions

AS SOON AS UNIFORMS ARE DISTRIBUTED TO STUDENTS:

1. Try the entire uniform on to make sure it fits. 

   1. All uniform pants are one length on purpose. The manufacturer makes them that way so they can be tailored/hemmed based on each individual student height. 

   2. Please either ask a family member or friend to hem your pants or visit a local dry cleaners/tailor shop.

   3. All pants have 2 buckles that have a 2-inch adjustability. (1 on the right and 1 on the left.)  Please ensure to adjust these buckles when trying on the pants.

2. If any part of the uniform does not fit, please write your name and the reason why it doesn’t fit on a piece of paper (i.e., a post-it note) and turn it back in to Mr. Niehoff in a plastic grocery bag the next band class day so replacements can be ordered in time for the performance.  Please do not wait until the week of the concert (and especially the day-of the concert) to bring them back for a new set as it will be too late and I cannot guarantee I will have any extras. 

3. Please iron each item of the uniform before wearing it for the concert.

2.) Jazz Band Uniform ($30):
For Mustang Jazz students only.

New students to Jazz Band: Please pay this fee in its entirety.

Returning students to Jazz Band: Please pay this fee ONLY if a new Polo Shirt is needed. 

This uniform/supplies fee must be paid for on MySchoolBucks, cash, or check by October 17, 2025 and covers The students’ Polo Shirts and Jazz Band Method Book.

If your child is on the Free/Reduced Lunch Program, this fee is waived by FCPS and the State of Virginia.
