Primary Teacher Librarian Services Credential Standard Demonstrated:
3A: Candidates demonstrate the promotion of reading for learning, personal growth and enjoyment.
During LIB 732 Evaluation & Promotion of Children's Literature, we were asked to read aloud and review several children's literature titles, and present them in an online blog.
During the process, we read from several genres and with different purposes. For example, I reviewed an informational text about the connection between dogs and humans, which promotes reading for learning, I read a humorous story about an underwear-wearing dragon to promote the enjoyment of reading, and I reviewed a book called I am Human, to promote personal growth.

3B: Candidates demonstrate collaboration with educational partners to support student learning and development of multiple literacies throughout all disciplines.
During LIB725 I created a collaborative lesson plan with a classroom teacher to teach students how to effectively evaluate websites.
Creating this collaborative lesson has been beyond useful for me, my fellow teachers, and especially my students. It is so difficult to determine if a website is relevant and reliable, even for adults. While creating this lesson plan I built a great deal of confidence on teaching the subject.

3C: Candidates demonstrate how to use a variety of strategies and resources (print, media, and digital) to reinforce literacy instruction in addressing the diverse needs and interests of all readers.
During LIB732, I planned a family literacy event to promote the reading of diverse books.
My family literacy program specifically addressed the need for diverse books in our school library. It requires students to use technology to create book-talks accessible online by their peers. The event also serves as a fundraiser to add more diverse titles to our library.
Primary Teacher Librarian Services Credential Standard Demonstrated:
3D: Candidates are knowledgeable about a wide range of children’s, young adult, adult, professional literature and informational text in diverse formats and languages.
During LIB 725 I compiled a collection development list of reference titles that would enhance the curriculum at our school. Each resource has at least one positive professional review.
While creating this reference collection list, I learned that the way librarians (and the world) view reference materials is changing. I found that many print resources that are laid out in reference formats might be categorized as nonfiction. Finding this out really helped me to dig deep into what it means to be a refernce resource, and how I, as a librarian, can offer better reference services with this new knowledge.
