Primary Teacher Librarian Services Credential Standard Demonstrated:
11A: The program provides opportunities for candidates, using both traditional and digital methods, to design and provide curriculum in information and digital literacy to enable students to process information purposefully, ethically and effectively.
In Library 740, I designed and co-taught a lesson based on 4th grade California Social Studies Standards, which integrated technology.
This artifact demonstrates mastery of creating and executing traditional and digital methods of teaching/learning. The lesson was thoroughly evaluated and designed using the Triple E Framework to ensure inclusion of meaningful learning, which included a focus on enhancing the learning goals. In this way, the students were able to process the information more effectively, leading to a stronger handle on digital literacy.

11B: Candidates assess student interactions and learning and develop interventions to optimize student learning.
During LIB740, I created a collaborative lesson plan to teach students digital citizenship. After assessing student learning, I wrote a thorough remediation plan to help those who did not grasp the concepts.
This artifact demonstrates progress in developing interventions and remediation plans for students who need extra follow up in grasping learning concepts. The plan was implemented after teaching a lesson on digital citizenship. The plan involves peer mentoring, parental involvement, interactive learning tools, and small group sessions, which all proved to increase struggling students' understanding and application of digital citizenship.

11C: Candidates implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate content instruction, including different formats and venues (e.g., face-to-face, distance learning, and other digital environments) for diverse student populations.
During LIB725 I created a lesson planned aimed to teach students how to evaluate the validity of a website as a reliable resource.
The evaluation lesson plan was designed to teach students how to evaluate the validity of websites as reliable resources, by providing developmentally appropriate content instruction tailored to diverse student populations. The lesson utilized a digital format, teaching students critical evaluation skills necessary for online research in various settings.Through guided practice and real-world examples, students engaged in analyzing websites for credibility, ensuring they are equipped to navigate digital environments effectively and responsibly.
