I am interested in fostering inclusive learning environments through diverse library collections, promoting digital literacy, and using technology to engage students. I am passionate about how representation in literature impacts identity development & emotional well-being of our youth.

As I complete my Master’s in School Library and Information Technology, along with my CA Teacher Librarian credential, my mission is to create inclusive, empowering learning environments for all students, from elementary through high school. My thesis, which focuses on the impact of diverse library collections on LGBTQ+ identity development and emotional well-being, has deepened my understanding of the critical role representation plays in a child’s growth. I aim to ensure that every student can find themselves in the stories we share,
fostering a sense of belonging and self-worth. By weaving together diverse literature and innovative technology, I strive to inspire curiosity, emotional growth, and a love for learning, while helping students of all backgrounds feel valued, seen, and empowered to succeed. Through collaboration with educators and a focus on diversity, I’m committed to guiding students as they navigate an increasingly interconnected world, encouraging them to explore, create, and thrive.
