Last year (Spring 2025) I was subbing in Greene County when a fight broke out between two students. Each student that was involved in the fight and required separation. There were the other grade teachers there due to the incident happening during time outside. The teachers that I observed stepped in immediately, with the female teacher giving a verbal command to stop and separate, while the male teachers stepped in to separate the students as soon as it was safe to do so. Once the students were separated they were taken to opposite sides to calm down and talk with a teacher. The female teacher redirected the rest of the grades attention back to free time, allowing the other students to regain more privacy and time to collect themselves before being confronted. Once the students were calmed down, they were walked inside to go talk to the principle. The principle further dealt with the situation and the rest of the grade and teachers resumed back to further instruction to finish the day.Â
