The effort of developing eco-friendly handmade learning tools began as a necessity during the covid shutdown of schools, where the village-based facilitator had to create learning aids to involve the rural children at the doorstep of their homes. And over a year & half during September 2022 and March 24, a complete set of learning tools have been created by the woodcraft center team at LSF, consisting of local artists and artisans empowered with a set of simple machines and hardware for cutting, grinding and polishing of wood.

In March 2024, the tools were given the brand name of ‘Ānandīn’ meaning The Inner Joy - the Joy of Creativity, Participation & Experiential Learning.

During the entire year 2023-24, the learning tools have been displayed at various rural and urban educational places, and they have been highly appreciated by all the stakeholders around the education system.
