Nitin Orayan

Founder & Director 

Nitin Orayan is the founder of Learning Space Foundation (LSF), an Indian based non-profit organisation serving rural communities, active in the Thane and Palghar districts of Maharashtra, India. Nitin has lived and worked with the rural communities since 2005 and has dedicated his time and efforts in the areas of school infrastructure, capacity building of rural school teachers & livelihood programs for rural educated youth by implementing intensive research-based education models for rural public preschools and primary schools, children & communities. With his vison and leadership, Learning Space Foundation has flourished and bettered the lives of many. 


Donna Reen 

Voluntary Advisor 

Donna is a postgraduate in Financial Accounting and English Literature from the University of Mumbai and has a Certificate in Multiple Intelligences. She started her career as an Internal Auditor with Lufthansa, Cologne, Germany and Travel Corporation of India, Mumbai. She then worked on various assignments as a consultant to educational franchises involving setting up curriculum, teacher training and has been an educational consultant with Scholastic (India) Pvt. Ltd. where her main focus was to inculcate reading habits in children. She also has vast editorial experience having been associated with various publication houses like Jaico, Physician’s Digest, Lifeline, ADDR Technologies, Solitaire International, and Computer Business Management (CBM) Publications, and teachers’ communication and English for specific purposes. 

Ganesh Jadhav 

Management

Ganesh is a self-taught rural youth who has grown in capacity and application to head rural service projects at LSF. After equipping himself with graduation from the University of Bombay & a Diploma in Computer Software in 2013-14, Ganesh has progressed to make strides in computer technology, and was able to successfully run the E-Learning Computer project for over 3000 children in the years 2017-20. Currently, Ganesh at 31 years of age, multi-tasks at LSF to steer planning and implementation, and especially setting up monitoring mechanisms for projects of education, infrastructure and community support.

Sudarshan Sonavane 

Content Creator 

Sudarshan has been a part of LSF after he joined the English Language Development for Vernacular Primary Schools team in the year 2016 as a Trainee Educator. He was already a Diploma holder in Teaching and a graduate of Arts when he joined LSF. After completing his post graduation, Sudarshan pursued his academic studies and acquired his Masters in Arts in 2014.  At 31 years of age, trained as an Educator and Master Trainer, Sudarshan works as Team Head for Content Creation - Devising Syllabus, Preparing Lesson Plans & Demos, and setting weekly implementation outcomes & goals for the ground Volunteer Team.

Ravindra Jadhav

Project Coordinator

Ravindra Jadhav completed his graduation with a Bachelor of Arts (2013), and followed it up with a Diploma in Teaching. He joined LSF in 2014 in the English ETeach project as a Trainee, to implement the animated electronic software in primary schools around the LSF center. Over the following 4 years, he was trained as a Coordinator, Educator & subsequently Master Trainer in the ETeach project during 2018-20. In these two years, Ravindra conducted capacity building programs for local govt. school teachers as well as trainees at LSF, in learning and implementing best practices for bettering English language education in rural primary schools. Currently, Ravindra works as Projects’ Coordinator & Trainer of local Teachers at LSF, and also helps devise the teaching content for skills upgradation programs. 

Dinesh Patil

Project Coordinator

Dinesh Patil completed his graduation with Bachelor of Arts (2014), and followed it with a Diploma in Teaching, when he joined LSF in 2015 in the English ETeach project as a Trainee, to implement the animated electronic software in primary schools around the LSF center. Over the following year, he was trained as Coordinator, Educator & subsequently Master Trainer in the ETeach project from 2018-20 for a set of 45 Zilla Parishad schools in the Palghar sub-district with a team of 10 village-based educator volunteers. He and Ravindra are closely working as a team of coordinators for the rural community in areas like Wada, Vikramgad and Palghar in projects that improve education and school infrastructure.


Sanyogita Gharat

Administration

Sanyogita Gharat was born and brought up in the holy land of Ganeshpuri, and she has imbibed the beautiful qualities of devotion and selfless service. She joined LSF in the year 2015 and has worked in admin, accounting, outreach teaching, supervision and more. Currently, she supports the Monitoring & Evaluation (M & E) system for the SarvaPrathamik program at LSF and intends to pick up professional tools of assessment for the project.

Vaibhavi Palvi

Planning Content & Process of Learning

Vaibhavi Palvi, a resident of the Base village, in June 2016, joined the LSF project to help English learning in vernacular primary schools in Bhiwandi Taluka. Vaibhavi, being highly qualified with a B.A & B.Ed., specialising in English, did extremely well as an outreach facilitator supporting the schools in her area.

In the following year, she was appointed as the Police Patil in her village and is well respected in her village and surrounding area. Her passion for education and the English language has led her to give her best to the primary school children of Zilla Parishad Schools, and in the year 2017-18, Vaibhavi emerged as a leader among the rural youth in her commitment to work for rural development. With over 6 years of experience as an early & primary educator, Vaibhavi is doing her best to take the SarvaPrathamik project forward.

Yogita Jadhav

Planning Content & Process of Learning

Yogita Jadhav hails from a very difficult background. She was born and brought up in a family from an underprivileged community, in an interior village of Bhiwandi Taluka. Without sufficient financial support, Yogita struggled to complete her Diploma and ultimately her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), facing significant hardship along the way.

In the year 2018, she joined as a Trainee in the English Language Development project at LSF, and performed extremely well, ranking as number one at the program’s end-line assessment. She managed to top her cohort, in spite of giving birth to her child in the same year. At the same time, she conducted classes in Zilla Parishad schools & weekly training at the LSF center, with a newborn child in her arms.

Today, Yogita is one of the leading outreach educators at LSF, doing her best to maximise outcomes of the SarvaPrathamik project, in her village Joo-colony in Bhiwandi Taluka of the Thane district.

Shubhada Bagul

Planning Content & Process of Learning

Shubhada joined the LSF project English Eteach in 2012 to help English learning in vernacular primary schools in Bhiwandi Taluka, with the radical electronic software-based solution created by Bombay Community Public Trust.

She has consistently improved upon her skills & abilities to make innovative lesson plans over the years at LSF. She currently works from home as an associate volunteer-educator to support LSF and achieve its goals in empowering village children with skill-based education.
