SarvaPrathamik is creating a revolution in rural India. It's impact has been widespread amongst the community at large. Not only have children benefited, the most obvious amongst the stakeholders but rural educated youth (REY) have been provided with employment, parents have become involved to partake in their role and the community at large has witnessed a revolution in the field of education. Learning materials have been created from scratch to complement a new-age pedagogy, Technopoiesis.

Rural Educated Youth (REY) Impacted by the Project...

The following profiles of Rural Educated Youth (REY) provide some information about their background. Many of them have been raised under financially strenuous circumstances but needless to say, they have all thrived individually and collectively by contributing to the upliftment of rural education within their communities.

Name of Facilitator : Mrs. Pratibha Patil

Pratibha has 55 students whom she teaches in the village of Kelthan. Her qualifications in education are BA, D.T.Ed. She has also been working with LSF since 2017 and after a while, she was informed about the Education at Your Doorstep and landed a position as a teacher. Pratibha lives very close to the LSF office, which only takes her 10 minutes to walk to. Her interests include singing and drawing. She had this to say; "Taking action while teaching a component to the children and involving them in it helps the children understand quickly. The response from parents has been good. The children come everyday for lessons". 

Name of Facilitator : Mrs. Vruchita Patil

Vruchita teaches in the village of Kelthan to 54 students. Her education qualification is BA, D.T.Ed from Mumbai University. Vruchita has been working on several different projects with LSF since joining the team in 2017. The LSF office is only a 10-15 minute walk from her home, which makes it easy to commute to the weekly meetings. Some interests and hobbies of Vruchita include singing, reading, and painting. She is also interested in social work. Her interest in social work is one of the reasons why she got involved in this project. She implements songs and painting in her lessons. 

Name of Facilitator : Mr. Bharat Handva

Bharat teaches 50 students in the Kuhe village. His education qualification is a B.A. This is Bharat's 4th year working with LSF. Nita informed him about this project and influenced him to join. It takes him an hour to reach the office in which he rides his motorbike. He enjoys implementing active learning styles to help the children in their physical, spiritual, and mathematical development. He says that "constructive learning allows all children to participate in activities". 

Name of Facilitator : Ms. Rajashree Kachare

Rajashri is a teacher of 51 students in the village of Gorad. Rajashri's education qualification is B.ed, D.T.Ed which she passed 1st in her class from Mumbai and Pune University. Rajashri has been working with LSF since 2015. She was informed about Education at Your Doorstep by Mr. Nitin and was interviewed which landed her a position for this project. Since Rajashri lives close to the LSF office, she is able to walk from her village. Rajashri has experience in handcraft work. She uses crafts, drawing, and other forms of art in the lessons to teach the children different activities. She states, "Teaching children different things using local objects helps them understand early in the lesson. Children's knowledge is increasing. This increases the enthusiasm of the children. Kids have fun learning". 

Name of Facilitator : Mrs. Manisha Patil

Manisha educates 62 students in the Nimbavali village. Her qualification include a B.A and D.Ted. Before joining this project, Manisha taught for LSF in the Anganwadi schools. She trained Anganwadi workers.When the pandemic hit, she got the opportunity to be a part of this project. It takes an hour for her to travel to the office. She loves to teach kids and it gives her great purpose in life. She reports that the kids participate enthusiastically in the activities. 

Name of Facilitator : Mrs. Samruddhi Kankoshe

Samruddhi teaches in the village of Bramhangaon to 62 students. She obtained an HSC, D.Ted in education. She has been working with LSF for the past 4 years. It takes Samruddhi an hour and a half to travel to meetings living 30 km away. She is passionate about social service, singing, and painting. She feels that her interests help her teach. She believes that education is the foundation of community development. She states, "The message of social development can be conveyed to the society through education". 

Name of Facilitator : Ms. Monali Naik

Monali teaches 60 students in the Indgaon village. Her education qualification is B.Sc. Monali was volunteering for LSF providing feminine hygiene products to teenage girls before joining the Education at Your Doorstep project. She lives 51 km away from the office. For this, she has to take three different modes of transport. She enjoys reading and painting. She comes up with innovative ways to use different materials in her lessons. The children are always eager to come to the sessions. She says that since the project began, children have been returning to the stream of education. She is very grateful to be a part of this project.

Name of Facilitator : Ms. Ashwini Valkar

Ashwini educates 60 students in the Indgaon village. Her education qualification is B.Sc. Before joining the Education at Your Doorstep project, she was working on a girls restroom sanitation project which aimed at making hygienic sanitation facilities accessible to girls in remote rural areas. The distance from her home to the office is 50 km, which takes her 3 hours to travel. She enjoys reading, playing, and drawing with the students. Ashwini has an interest in social work. Her passion for this project makes it fun for her to teach.
