Honor Flight- Write a note or draw a picture thanking a WWII veteran for their service to be delivered to them during their return flight from visiting War Memorials in Washington; usually in the fall. Contact Teri Simas for more information.
I Love a Clean San Diego- Leads and educates our community to actively conserve and enhance the environment
Interfaith Community Services- Address the needs of low-income, homeless and under-served people in North San Diego County
Kids Korps- Engages young people in community service and leadership development
Operation Hope- (Vista) provide evening meals, read to children, or help at Kid's Hour.
Rare Bear Program- Join the ever-growing RARE Bear Army of volunteers that help make one of a kind bears for special one of a kind kids.
Ronald McDonald House Charities- Cook a dinner or make desserts for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House
San Diego Food Bank- We rely on volunteers to inspect and sort the food
Stuff the Bus- Annual winter food drive (December) partnered with SD food bank. Troops that volunteer at your neighborhood Vons or Alberstons will encourage shoppers to purchase specially requested items or pre-packaged bags (sdgirlscouts.org).
San Marcos Veteran's Day Ceremony- Honor our local heroes by making Thank You cards to distribute at the event (November) along with water bottles and snacks. Contact Jodi for more information.
Vista Teen Outreach - With over 1800 students in the Vista Unified School District who are hungry, homeless or both, VTO provides easy access on campus food pantries filled with food and hygiene kits to any student in need. Vista Teen Outreach is a 501(3) (c) run entirely by community volunteers.
Wreaths Across America- Annual ceremonial wreaths laying to honor Veterans at Fort Rosecrans and Miramar National Cemeteries. Wreath laying (December); Clean-up (January).
