Monthly Event Leaders
Each monthly event adult leader will be responsible for the logistics of the trip. The youth leader will lead the Troop during the event and will need to plan what they will be doing and what materials they will need to bring.
The event adult leader will need to:
Make sure the event is on the Troopmaster Calendar and update it with any changes
Add event information on the Troop email newsletter and update as needed (remove after the event)
Open Troopmaster registration so Scouts/adults can sign up
Set up email reminders for the event: 3 weeks out, 2 weeks out and the Wednesday before the grub planning
Figure out meeting time/location/cars/drivers
Work with SPL to make sure patrol grub masters are assigned and grub planning happens 2 meetings before the event
Work with SPL so Troop gets necessary Troop gear (tent, ground cloth, patrol boxes...)
Get event reservation information from Outdoor Chair
contact camp ranger for any additional information
Put 'what to bring' list (or link to troop website what to bring list) in Troopmaster event
Go on the event
After the event, update Troopmaster to indicate which Scouts and Adults went on the Trip. This is critical so Scouts get camping credit
Tell treasurer which adults drove and should get gas reimbursement if the trip was out of County (and amount of reimbursement - 25 cents/mile)
